Week of the Young Child

Submitted by jane.wilkins on

Our Early Childhood Education course introduces students to child-related careers and the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). Instruction is given regarding developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and curriculum and facility design for young children. In this class students learn about the National Association for the Education of Young Children (naeyc). It is a professional organization for early childhood educators to promote equity of education among all young children. This week they are celebrating the Week of the Young Child.

Star Students

We are so proud of our students! To show them a little recognition, our fearless delivery ladies planted these signs in the students’ yards to remind them of the great job they are doing with their schoolwork in addition to caring for their families. We have been sending home a steady stream of supplies including Chromebooks, textbooks, worksheets, and more. Today the delivery included a Spring Treasure Hunt kit. Enjoy and keep up the good work Crusaders!

The attached letter from Mrs. Boothe will be hand delivered to each student Tuesday, March 17, 2020 with information on how to move ahead during school dismissal. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY AND KEEP IT CLOSE BY! If you have any questions, call Mrs. Boothe, the front office, or email your teachers. Class work is going to move ahead, and we expect that you will spend designated time every day keeping up on your work. If you are not careful to move on and keep up, your graduation may be delayed and/or class time may need to be made up. We love each of you and are concerned about you.
