We had a small Halloween celebration today since the holiday is on the weekend. The students listened to a short presentation about literacy tips for children. Then we invited the children from childcare to join us and we learned a rhyming story called Five Little Pumpkins. Following story time was the much-awaited Trick-or-Treating through the hall to each classroom. The children were encouraged to thank each person who gave them a treat. For Halloween, one of Legacy's traditions is having a special lunch together. We had chicken taco soup, accompanied by apples and caramel, tortilla chips and sugar cookies. It was a SPOOK-tacular day!
