Our Early Childhood Education course introduces students to child-related careers and the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). Instruction is given regarding developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and curriculum and facility design for young children. In this class students learn about the National Association for the Education of Young Children (naeyc). It is a professional organization for early childhood educators to promote equity of education among all young children. This week they are celebrating the Week of the Young Child. The daily activities are themed, Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. Children learn so much as they enjoy music, explore food and cooking, build together, create art, and celebrate their families! Join Legacy and NAEYC for a fun-filled week celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, families, and communities.
