Delicious pancakes, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit started the last day of school before the holiday break. After the yummy breakfast, we played some Christmas games with the kids and sang songs. Annalece Misiego sang Grown Up Christmas List accompanied by Randy Boothe on the piano. Then a certain jolly person with a white beard and a red suit arrived shaking his jingle bells. Everyone had a chance to visit with Santa, but some little ones experienced stranger anxiety!

Students attended each class on a shortened schedule. At the end of the day, everyone received a gift bag filled with treasures. Legacy has a tradition of giving everyone a hardbound Christmas book. This year it was a copy of Pete the Cat Saves Christmas. It’s Christmas and time to deliver the presents... but Santa isn’t feeling well! Who can save not just the day, but Christmas? It’s a cute story where Pete the Cat proves that giving your all in the spirit of Christmas is the totally groovy thing to do.

Have a happy and safe break Crusaders!
