Moms' Club Visit

Submitted by jane.wilkins on

We had a wonderfully fun visit from a group of local moms that meet each week with their infants and toddlers. Meeting with other moms is good for the children’s socialization and introduces them to new experiences. Sometimes moms feel isolated, so the group provides support and friendship. Annalece Misiego, the group’s founder, said, “Women need women!” First, we read The House That Santa Built that encourages young readers to get in on the act thanks to sound prompts such as "squeak," "stomp," and "jingle." Next, we grooved to the Christmas Freeze Dance. The third activity was to sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with actions. The group provided an adorable reindeer snack using Nutter Butter cookies, Nutella, frosting and pretzels. They surprised us with a present for each child of our students stashed around the Christmas tree. We wrapped up the activity with donuts and milk. Big thanks to Moms’ Club for the great activity and thoughtful gifts!
