We enjoyed several fun activities before school let out for Spring Break. Jewelry Making – Star David, a teacher at Cherry Creek Elementary, brought her extensive bead collection and other supplies and each student was able to customize and create a pair of earrings for themselves. Paper Flowers – Mrs. Boothe demonstrated how to make paper flowers out of crepe paper. Then everyone got to work making their own crepe paper flowers. Walk – When the weather is good, we enjoy taking a half-mile walk together. We bundle up the children in strollers and get to enjoy some fresh air and socializing while we walk. Lunch – We were treated to a delicious meal by Brick Oven which included two choices of pasta, salad and bread sticks. Yearbook Pages – It is tradition at Legacy to have each student make a scrapbook-style page about them that is published in the yearbook. Mrs. Clarke, the yearbook advisor, had a wide variety of supplies the girls could use.
