In conjunction with International Women’s Day (a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women) Mrs. Boothe took the opportunity to remind Legacy students about the power of women.

She emphasized the vital role of shaping little people, even though, at times, it is hard and exhausting.

Additionally, Mrs. Boothe shared this quote from Angelina Jolie, “I tell my daughters, ‘What sets you apart is what you are willing to do for others. Anyone can put on a dress and makeup. It’s your mind that will define you. Find out who you are, what you think, and what you stand for. And fight for others to have those same freedoms.  A life of service is worth living.'”

Then the principal showed a short video about Inspirational Women. Click link to view: Empowering Women

She pointed out that getting moving is the only difference between those who achieve their dreams and those who don’t and encouraged the students to keep trying when they didn’t feel like it.

Mrs. Boothe concluded by congratulating the students for their hard work and expressed how impressed she is with their efforts.
