What does π or Pi mean? Our math teacher, Mrs. Yazzie, gathered everyone to review and celebrate mathematics and National Pi Day (3/14).
- Pi is a letter in the Greek alphabet
- Pi is irrational number, which means it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern
- Pi is extremely useful when solving geometry problems involving circles
- Archimedes was the first to record an algorithm calculating Pi
- Albert Einstein was born on Pi Day in 1879
