The Uplift Parenting Conference is the initiative of First Lady of Utah Jeanette Herbert. Five presenters will be giving Tips Talks. Presenters include: David Osmond, Brad Barton, Jessie Funk, Collin Kartchner, and Clay Olsen. Topics range from resiliency, addiction recovery, social media, and anxiety. Over the summer, our day-care playground received TWO much appreciated canopies to provide shade for the kiddos when they go outside to play. Big thanks to Matt Gledhill and Mike Anderson of Nebo School District Operations Department for making it happen!

All Nebo parents are welcome to attend this free Parent Education Night on  Monday, September 16, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Salem Hills High to hear from renowned Dr. Hendershott.  He co-founded Hope 4 the Wounded and is a national speaker on the effects of trauma on learning and behavior. 

Superintendent Nielsen presented the 2019-2020 theme for the school district, “Discover the Power Within.” He shared some thoughts from the book, The Resilience Breakthrough, by Christian Moore. The author is “convinced that each of us has a power hidden within, something that can get us through any kind of adversity. That power is resilience.” Here are four types: Relational, Street, Resource, and Rock Bottom Resilience
